Muse Research, Inc. have been showing just some of the new plug-ins that have been made compatible with their Receptor hardware plug-in player at this year’s Winter NAMM show. Highlighted are Synthogy’s Italian Grand Fazioli sampled grand piano expansion set for their award winning Ivory sampled piano virtual instrument, MusicLab’s Real Guitar sampled guitar virtual instrument, The Sound Guy’s SFX Machine Pro virtual effects rack, and EastWest’s Hard Core Bass sampled bass guitar library.
Check out our vid of Receptor in action with Synthogy’s Italian Grand Fazioli and read below all about Receptor in Muse’s own words…
“Receptor provides hardware-like performance with your favorite plug-ins Keyboardists, drummers, producers, composers, and guitarists around the world have discovered Receptor to be the ultimate platform on which to run their favorite virtual instruments and effects. Receptor gives you superior performance with improved usability and significantly less latency over a desktop or laptop computer, and many users comment that Receptor’s 2-rack space design and dedicated hardware front panel make their virtual instruments “real.
By continually adding to the list of plug-ins that are compatible with Receptor, more and more players are discovering the benefits of having their favorite plug-in software running on Receptor. Ivory, the sampled virtual grand piano from Synthogy is particularly impressive on Receptor, and the addition of the Italian Grand expansion sound set makes the Receptor + Ivory combination even more potent. Many session players rely on MusicLab’s Real Guitar plug-in to record scratch guitar tracks, and now that it is available on Receptor, keyboardists are able to fill in extra guitar parts live as well as using this powerful tool in the studio. The Sound Guy created the SFX Machine Pro plug-in to serve as an incredibly powerful and versatile effects processor, and now with its availability on Receptor, guitarists, engineers, producers and keyboardists will want to take advantage of what it offers. Finally, Muse Research has extended its partnership with East West once again by announcing support for the Hard Core Bass virtual bass plug-in, providing impressive sampled bass sounds for your recorded or live tracks.
