Waves has announced Universal versions of its complete line of plug-in products for Intel-based Macs.
Here's what they have to say about it in their press release...
With the creation of the new Universal Plug-Ins and the proliferation of new applications being developed for the Intel-based Mac systems, Waves users can now take advantage of the advanced architecture while relying on the same critically acclaimed plug-in processors used by professionals worldwide.
"Waves is fully behind the new Intel-based Mac platform and transitioning to Universal applications using Apple tools was easier than we had expected," said Waves CEO Gilad Keren. "We will continue our commitment to the greatest possible compatibility by offering Universal versions of all our products while continuing to develop next generation plug-ins for use with all industry standard platforms."
"The power of Xcode has given Apple developers the opportunity to quickly and easily deliver native Universal applications for our blazing fast hardware," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "Waves is a premier audio plug-in developer for the Mac platform so we're thrilled they are delivering Universal versions of their entire plug-in suite."
Waves plug-ins currently support a wide range of digital audio workstation software, including Pro Tools TDM and LE, Sound Forge, Acid, Vegas, Sony CD Architect, Audition, Sonar Producer Edition, Cubase SX, Nuendo, and WaveLab for PC, while also offering Mac-based users complete compatibility with support for Pro Tools TDM and LE, Logic, GarageBand, Spark XL, Cubase SX, Nuendo, Peak, and Digital Performer.
