Following on from the great success of their Nord Stage - winner of the MIPA 2006 Best Stage Piano award no less, the team at Clavia have been working on a new incarnation using the the multi-sound engine of the Stage, but with a lighter synth action keyboard. To be known as the Stage Compact, it still features 88 keys but drastically reduces the weight. Not yet in production, we should see the Stage Compact coming later this year – probably Summer.
