"The new AT2041SP Studio Pack combines the AT2020 side-address condenser microphone with the newly premiered AT2021 small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone. The AT2020 is aimed at capturing vocals as well as a wide range of instrumental applications, while the AT2021 excels at instrument recording including acoustic guitars, drum overheads, pianos and group vocals. By incorporating the AT2041SP Studio Pack into their studio equipment, users gain versatile transducers suitable for recording any source with the highest fidelity and accuracy, all at an extremely affordable price point.
The new AT2021 small-diaphragm cardioid condenser mic is ideal for capturing guitars, overheads, pianos and more. The AT2021 is optimized for professional applications, yet offers amazing value and an exemplary price-to-performance ratio. The microphone has extended response for smooth natural sonics, and a special low-mass element for superb transient response. The cardioid polar pattern reduces off-axis pickup of unwanted sound, while focusing on the desired source.
The AT2021 has outstanding specs, highlighted by broad, flat frequency response from 30 – 20,000 Hz, 145 dB maximum SPL handling, and an extreme 126 dB dynamic range. Ideal for almost any recording application in the home or project studio, the AT2021 has been designed from the ground up to provide the most natural, smoothest response possible.
The AT2020 side-address condenser microphone brings unprecedented performance to a wide range of recording applications. Audio-Technica’s AT2020 is acclaimed for its groundbreaking proprietary design, utilizing a custom-engineered low-mass diaphragm that provides extended frequency response plus the ability to handle extremely high SPLs. The AT2020 is a rugged side-address condenser with a fixed cardioid polar pattern for maximum isolation of the desired sound source. The mic features excellent performance specifications, including a flat, extended frequency response (20 – 20,000 Hz), high SPL handling capability (144 dB), and a wide dynamic range (124 dB). Every aspect of the AT2020 has been tailored for a very smooth, natural sound while ensuring maximum accuracy, making it a perfect complement for today’s digital recording equipment."
