The battery powered Pignose practice amp was a big hit in the 1970's and now that 30 year old 7-100 amplifier circuit has been put into a stomp box - The Piggy-In-A-Box.
What you get is a guitar amp that will drive a small eight or ten inch speaker. Running off six AA batteries or a mains adapter (not supplied) it can also be used as a pre-amp to a regular guitar rig by connecting the pre-amp out jack into your pedal effects chain and into the front of the amp.

Pig Out With Extra Snort And Bags Of Grunt...
Also new is the Detonator S.P. distortion/power boost unit which produces the basic pignose sound but can go further by adding a warm and rounded overdrive and distortion. The pedal is turned on and off with the bypass switch but kicking in the 'Extra Snort' switch and turning up the intensity control adds all the distortion you are likely to need.
