We first saw these USB MIDI controllers earlier this year at the NAMM show, and were suitably impressed with the features that Behringer have crammed in at their usual can-it-be-true price. We filmed an early demo of the units in action here. The BCF2000 offers 8 motorized faders, 8 illuminated push switch encoders, 20 function switches and an assignable footswitch input. The BCR2000 offers 32 rotary encoders with the same number of function switches. Both units feature 1 MIDI in and two MIDI outs with dirvers for Win XP/2000 and Mac OS X. As you might expect from Behringer, the units are very competitively priced with the BCF at GBP 180 / $259, and the BCR at 140 GBP / $199 Perhaps this is the beginning of a new era of affordable control surfaces - lets hope so. Both products are available now and should be in a store near you very soon.
