Behringer are making a play for a guitarist's hard earned money with a pair of reasonably priced amp heads and a matching cabinet. The all-new V-AMPIRE LX1200H (USD 289.99 MSRP) is a 2 x 60-Watt stereo or 120-Watt mono operation digital modelling amplifier featuring 32 authentic amp models, 15 speaker cabinet simulations and a 24-bit multi-effects processor. A flexible workhorse for delivering ample power at live gigs, the LX1200H offers effects and a plethora of available tones at any desired volume, combining amp modeling technology with the flexibility and tube-like sound of a classic guitar amplifier. The LX1200H features 32 modern and vintage amp models based on further improvements and refinement of the V-AMP 2 modeling technology as well as 16 effect models that include analog delays, compressor, wah-wah, reverb, flanger and rotary speakers, among others. The 15 speaker cabinet models can be mixed and matched with any of the amp models and effects. 15 rear panel connectors allow comprehensive routing for any application including a pre DSP send/return for dry recording and wet monitoring plus full MIDI compatibility. Intuitive rotary controls with dedicated LED indicators make operation easy and simple and a Windows editor is downloadable from the Behringer website free-of-charge. Part of the V-TONE range, the V-TONE GMX1200H (USD 259.99 MSRP) is a true analog modeling 2 x 60-Watt stereo guitar amplifier head with 2 fully independent modeling channels, each featuring 27 authentic V-TONE sound models, FX processor, tuner and MIDI control. With sounds ranging from clean and crunch to super-fat distortion, the GMX1200H comes equipped with Behringer's patented DYNAMIZER circuitry which Behringer promise will capture every playing nuance, and introduce tube-like warmth and compression to the tone. The 24-bit stereo multi-effects processor with effects like chorus, flanging, phasing, rotary, auto-wah, echo, delay, compressor and various effect combinations with 99 user presets and MIDI control assures coverage of all musical styles. In addition the amp has adjustable aux in and dedicated tape inputs for playback or other line-level signals (e.g. CD player, drum computer). The amp's 2 loudspeaker outputs facilitate stereo operation with 2 x 8-Ohm impedance. As with all V-TONE GMX models, the integrated auto-chromatic tuner is controllable via footswitch. Last but not least, a dual FS112 footswitch for channel selection, effect bypass and tuner activation is also included. The ULTRASTACK BG412V (USD 259.99 MSRP) is a high-power 4 x 12 guitar cabinet with premium heavy-duty-rear-mounted speakers. It features switchable 200-watt, 4 Ohms mono, 2 x 100 Watt or 8 Ohms stereo mode operation and is designed to reproduce the distinctive tone and harmonics so highly sought after by today's guitarists - sparkling highs for clean sound and smooth break-up when distorted. The cabinet features rugged construction with recessed carrying handles and casters for easy transportation plus a vintage-style vinyl cover. All are expected to be shipped in the third quarter 2004.
