To celebrate the 30 years of dominance that the SL-1200 has enjoyed Technics have released a rather snazzy gold version of DJ standard turntable the SL-1200GLD. It's based on the pro-grade SL-1210M5G but made rather bling-bling by the addition of copious amounts of gold and gloss black finish. Having sold over 3 million SL-1200 turntables since launch they can afford to splash the gold around (although I expect you'll pay for it). Each of these rather beautifully crafted turntables is individually numbered and that number is engraved on a gold plate on the front of the deck. So if you want a turntable to match your teeth the SL-1200GLD is the one for you.
