We dropped by the Cakewalk stand were we got a run through of the new features of the Project 5 1.5 update (video coming soon). Cakewalk continue to develop their flagship SONAR Audio/MIDI workstation with the release of SONAR 3.1. The update provides enhancements that include:
  • multi-processor optimization
  • support for all sample rates
  • high quality file import/export
  • audio conversion utilizing Windowed Sinc resampler
  • adjustable EQ plo resolutions
  • missing plug-in protection
  • StudioMix control surface plug-in
  • revised Play List view. The update also addresses a number of minor bugs discovered after SONAR 3 began shipping. Keep your eyes peeled for our SONAR 3 review
