The FireWire 410 wasn't entirely expected at the show, it was a late runner due to it's accidental inclusion in the latest M-Audio catalog, but welcome it most certainly is. Featuring 2 ins and 8 outs plus S-PDIF and MIDI i/o, it looks set to raise the stakes in the FireWire market currently dominated almost exclusively by MOTUs extensive range. The new FireWire 410 is expected to ship around eight weeks from now at a price that is yet to be fixed. Predictions are that it will be competitively priced in keeping with all M-Audio products.
