Audio-Technica have a few new additions to their family; here's a quick peek:- Elite Series - three new high-performance instrument mics added;

AE5100 - large diaphragm end-fire cardioid condenser

AE3000 - large diaphragm side-on cardioid condenser

AE2500 - combination condenser/dynamic mic, excellent for kick drums All have the new AT isolation clamp, 80Hz HP filter switch, and a 10dB pad.

Wireless Systems - a new UHF system enters the range in the shape of the 3000 series, joined by a low-cost VHF system; the 200 Freeway series.

AT4040 - well, what can we tell you - it's a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser studio mic... for $495 Oh yeah, and they were at the Soccer World Cup, too, apparently, fielding a squad of AT895's. Can't remember seeing them, though - shame; I'm sure they would have played a great 'one-two' ;-]
