Nord Lead 3 OS V1.04 and new Factory Sound Library The Nord Lead 3 OS V1.04 is the first official software upgrade for the Nord Lead 3. Nord have spent the last couple of months since the initial release of the Nord Lead 3 improving and fine-tuning the sound and functionality. One of the most significant changes, if you have V0.96 or earlier in your NL3, is the increased polyphony to 24 notes! Also, the Filter section has been improved to behave more like an analog filter. V1.04 OS also comes with a new and expanded Factory Sound Library, consisting of seven Program Banks with up to 128 Programs each. Bankshave been categorized to make it easier to find sounds your after. The new OS and Factory Sound Library are free of charge when downloaded from www.clavia.se New features and major improvements with V1.04:
  • As from OS V0.98 Nord Lead 3 offers 24-note polyphony!
  • The Modulation, Filter and Amplifier Envelopes has been improved regarding their characteristics
  • Improved Filter Frequency control from Filter Envelope - also in 'Invert' mode
  • The Synched Noise waveforms has been improved
  • The frequency range of Oscillator 2 has been expanded in Dual Sine and Dual Sine FM mode. Also totally new implementation of Oscillator 2 frequency modes (KBT Off and Partial values for carrier & modulator)
  • Inverted Amount of the Mod Env for the OscMix destination is swapped to bipolar so it behaves like the LFOs
  • The Glide Rate scaling has been adjusted
  • The Arpeggio Rate scaling has been adjusted and the range increased
  • The OscMix parameter behavior has been improved
  • Memory Protect now also prevents erasing of Banks in Bank Receive mode
  • The synth displays MIDI Clock Sync related massages better
