We were pretty impressed with the Demo of Yamaha's new FM synthesis based groovebox we saw at the NAMM show. Along side the 100 voice drum sequencer, the unit also features a DX-7 6 operator FM synth that is compatible with DX-7 patches - of which there are thousands available. Not only that but there is a host of real-time control options to tweak the sounds including a filter and harmonic adjustments.
