Line 6, announce ECHO FARM, a new plug-in for Pro Tools MIX systems. Line 6 has used its patented modeling software technology to create models of twelve vintage echo effects for the Pro Tools MIX plug-in environment. There’s no longer any need to wrestle with cantankerous vintage hardware to get classic tape echo, old school analog delay, or filter-swept echo-phonic modulations; ECHO FARM provides these classic vintage tones with all the modern advantages, including extended delay time, bpm/note value delay time setting, tap tempo, and complete automation. As easy to use as a classic stomp box, ECHO FARM includes control of tape wow & flutter, filter-swept modulation, bit resolution, and more. This plug-in is like a collection of classic echo units for the Pro Tools MIX studio—all programmable and automatable. Delay times can be set by knob, milliseconds, bpm/note value—or with a few mouse clicks on the tap tempo button. Defeatable Time Ramp gives smooth tape-style delay time changes complete with pitch smear. ECHO FARM can be used as a guitar stomp box in front of the Amp Farm plug-in, or as a processor for any other audio tracks. Compatibility: Requires Pro Tools MIX hardware; Mac OS or Windows NT. (Does not support NuBus, Pro Tools|24, or non-TDM systems)
