The plugin models many aspects of a variety of prized analog compressors, vintage and modern. It emulates opto-electronic, FET, VCA, variable-mu and other gain elements, and allows control of standard parameters such as threshold, slope, attack and release times, as well as knee "softness", choice of RMS or peak level detection, and maximum useable attenuation. A sidechain filter is also provided, to enable de-essing, or for other specialized compression effects.

The limiter portion of the plugin is a peak-sensing, fast-attack limiter with controllable release time.
