I've used several types of digital recorders. After playing around with the VS1880, it didn't take much to switch over. Completed two project CD's with considerable results. A+ to roland support. You better be patient with the learning curve. Alittle complicated but worth the time (around 40 hours from studio to post production for complete understanding of unit).

Good Points Good solid unit for home studio. Portable for lazy drummer sessions. Bad Points Too bad Roland didn't give the option to hook up to a monitor or even allow use with a mouse in lieu of small display. Lastly, come on, $550 for a CD burner. Go to your local computer store and get one for half the price. |
