Using an image pallette, you create an image to be integrated with any samples you want to design into an instrument. Or you can integrate it with a wavetable synth, a procedural synth (FM), or a granular synth. Consider this image analagous to a controller. You can create an endless array of filters, transform and morph these sounds in just about any way imaginable and probably some you cannot imagine. As well, there are 14 modifiable and previewable effects and a myriad of tools. Recording and filing these soundscapes is easy. These files can then be transfered to Metatrack, a sister application. Here they can be organized into a song, much as you would do with Acidpro.

Good Points
Unlimited and easy-to-learn soundsculpting capabilities. An excellent tool for creating kick ass rhythm patterns, pads of great subtlety and even experimental and classical music. Map to the extreme. Organize harmonics with precision or, allow chaos to rear her butt and blow. Unbelievable support and regular OS updates. What mo can be said?
Bad Points
Metatrack is not as useful for arranging songs as is Acidpro, but its close (and with Metasynth hot-linked to Metatrack, you can do yust abou de most ya want). This Buthaid software will cause you to neglect your E4XT, AN!X, Q an dey brethen.
