PowerTracks soon to be version 9 is a very usefull user friendly program with a rapid learning curve. many functions similary compared to sonar and cubase, but a fraction of the price tag. Ive been using it since version 7 without any complaints. When running into a technical difficulty, they have allways had instant online support with 100% problems solved!

I've been a longtime user(Win 3.0) but after all this time(now PTW 6 using Win98) they still haven't implemented loop recording or the ability to drag and drop the tracks. I had those features on my old Atari w/EditTrack.

I love this program, worth every one of the 3000 pennies I spent for it. If you need a sequencer, this is a very capable program. Stable, never crashed (knock on wood) and cheap. Easy to use and not packed with all the confusing features you'll never use in the more expensive programs.

Get this now. (It's only $30 and it does pretty much all you need to do.) My old portastudio is drawing dust now because I use PTPA5 for everything. I'm constantly amazed by the number of features they've crammed in this software and it's only $30! It's easy to use, the manual is easy to understand and they've got a decent forum going on their website to answer any questions that the manual doesn't cover (and lot's that it does.) It hasn't crashed on me ever, and I'm always finding new things that it does. Did I mention that it's ONLY $30?!!! Stop reading this, dig the quarters out of your sofa, and buy this now... can you go wrong for $30?
