|The M-ONE is easy to use, the reverbs and delays sound great. The modulation effects are marginal. The dynamics sound good when setup right, especialy with drums. The pitch shifter sounds like dog shit. To narrow it down, The M-one is a perfect unit for small studios or project studios. The reverbs alone are worth the price. They almost sound as good as my Lexi pcm90(a $2000 reverb unit) but not quite.|

|Only 2 effects at a time (but so is everything else in this price range). I absolutely LOVE the design of this unit! I also have a Lexicon MPX500, which costs the same, but is so unintuitive! M-One allows you to set the processor routing seperately and then assign any effect you want to each of the processors seperately, where the Lexicon has pre-stored programs, each one of which has a specific routing/effect configuration which cannot be changed! This means you've got to scroll through hundreds of presets to find the routing/effect configuration you want, which might not even be there: Lexicon only couples effects like Phaser/Flanger with others like Delay/Reverb, which means you can't have two Phasers/Flangers at a time. Soundwise, M-One produces much less noise than the MPX500, but besides that the algorithms are great on both units, just what you'd expect from names like TC Electronic and Lexicon. The lack of weirder effects prevents this unit from getting a perfect score, but for your basic Reverbs/Choruses/Flangers/Phasers/Delays it's great. It also has a dynamics section with Compressor/Gate effects that I don't really use.|

I'm liking the unit quite a bit; got it as a second aux send for the mixer. The quality of the effects is just gorgeous, smooth, sweet and beautiful. The phaser is the BEST I have heard in a rack box at any price. |
Downsides are few but irritating: (1) MIDI clock sync for tempo-based delay is very poorly implemented. (2) Manual is just about useless, and gives no info on the MIDI controller mappings.
Other than that, at the price it's a killer effects unit, but don't rely on it as your ONLY effects unit, since it can only do two simultaneously. Works great for what I got it for.
