CEP is 24-bit compatible, not just 16-bit as stated in spec on this site. Excellent software - great for teaching and semi-pro project studios. Excellent Help file and online manual that goes well beyond simple instructions. No real-time processing except via direct X plug-ins, although most DSP transformations now have preview option which is very nice. Highly recommended.

I've been using the SE version for about 9 months because it came with my Layla. No manual and it didn't matter. Cranked right up and started recording. I think it locked up once in the nine months of fairly heavy editing. It seems as stable as they come. I have recently upgraded to the 1.2 ver and have just started using it now. No trouble installing the new version, and I just picked up where I left off. The effects seem great and the eq capabilities are really good.

It's not as pretty as some of the programs I've seen, but it is functional as can be. I still haven't opened a manual.

I neat thing about this program is that It allows me to spend my time and effort on my music, not trying figuring out how the program works.

I need to add, that I had never actually recorded on a computer until 9 months ago. With no prior experience with this type of equipment, I think it speaks to the ease of use of the program, but don't be fooled, it's a very powerful product. I love it.
