Even though,it is complicated this is an exellent machine. You must have a big desire to want to learn how to operate it,but once you learn you can make a cheap microphone sound like a miilion $$$.I'm still learning after a couple of years. If there is anyone out there that can help me cut back my time in knowing how to trigger my acid program on PC with my aw4416 it would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share any knowledge I have on the machine with anyone. Salud!!!!!

nono it still has a lot of bugs, and yammy always abandons its customers as usual.i like its 24bit sound too,but only for the mixer, but it worths any praises cuz it's released as a daw originally, but hd hangs, sound skips, memories loses,it couldn't be forgiven as a daw.

The machine is not for the begginer. It's manual indicates that it is designed for professional engineers and I would say that is the most accurate statement in the manual. It is however and incredible device once you learn to use it. It has a few bugs even with software 2.0 but overall it is a great machine. Even the effects are fair to good. I've had mine for more than a year and am just now getting around. I am a hobby-ist The manuals are not as helpful as I would like. But overall I would say that I love the machine. The more I use it the more I like it. I've heard that Yamaha is discontinuing it's production. That is too bad. It is a great unit and with a few updates on software it could be better. I don't what yamaha plans. Hopefully they won't abandone us.

Clearly, someone hasn't been doing their homework. There's simply no excuse for that.
