Awsome card. I use this card with a 700mhz G3 Ibook laptop under OSX 10.2 and it smokes. I'm running Reason 2.0 as a sound source for my electronic drums, using an Alesis D4 for trigger-midi conversion, and it works flawlessly at the 2ms setting with the core-audio drivers. Setup was easy and it sounds great. I highly recommend it.

Taking into account the bandwidth limitations of the USB port, the EMI 2x6 performs great!

A great piece of hardware for the low-budget home studio. ASIO driver gets very low latency(<10ms) in fruity loops, reason, FM7, Absynth...

Allows you to use your laptop as a synth or sampler in a live situation.

My setup is Reason 2 and Vegas. I use reason to create main part of music, then export to wav file. Load the wav into Vegas and add live tracks such as vox or outboard synths.

I use a nice large diaprham AKG mic for vox and the recordings are crystal clear.

Only problem is the USB bandwidth limitation. Making it impossible to mix cd music with soft synth or use too many tracks.

Emi 2/6 works really well with Battery (running as standalone).

Battery sees 4 mono outputs and 1 stereo output.

Very low latency 4ms. Using win ME 1.2 ghz, hardrive 7200 rpm, 512 megs ram. HP desktop.

I haven't tried to record sound into the EMI yet.

Quite happy with the EMI.
