Conclusion
When you consider the price, you get a lot for your money. Considering the cost of individual components (amps and speakers), the BX-8s are good value. Though will need a little getting used to for serious mix work due to their brightness. With the sub-bass unit plumbed in the sound gets more impressive and pushes a good amount of air – though on first listen it wasn’t a huge transformation – which says a lot for the bass response of the SP-8S – it’s already pretty good.
Given my few grumbles, I’d say it’s a pretty good value system. And if you’re not in the market for a new pair of near fields – consider the sub bass unit, it’s really pretty good.
