Installation
Whether you have bought Reason 2 new or are upgrading from version 1 installation is very simple, although almost 1.1gb of disk space is needed if you want to install both the Factory sound bank and the new Orkester bank, which contains patches and samples for the new NN-XT sampler.

Any files you have for previous versions of Reason are retained, as are your preferences for audio and midi Set-Up.

There is now support for Mac OS9 and OSX as well as Windows 98, 2000, ME or XP.

New Addtitions
Reason 2 functions in much the same way as version 1 (see review), but with a few major improvements.

The main additions to Reason are the two new instruments, the NN-XT Sampler and the Maelstrom graintable synthesizer plus the new Sequencer.

It is also now possible to sync the LFOs of most instruments and some effects to the overall song BPM, enabling some great tempo related programming.
