The National Science and Media Museum: Sound Check

Coming up this week is Sound Check; a free adult-only event at the National Science and Media Museum. It sounds fantastic for those who are in and around London, with more details below:

Sound Check is a free evening of sonic delights--come and delve into the world of synthesizers and Radiophonics, 19th-century acoustic experiments and novel musical instruments. Experience immersive installations, enjoy live performances and demos, and chat with enthusiasts, professionals, artists and curators who are fascinated by sound.

  • Hear a modern interpretation of our glass harmonica--combining glass, water and electronics--by Andie Brown
  • See what percussionist Tenley Martin can do with our interactive Batphone!
  • Patch and a Pint: delicious, locally brewed beers and electronic wizardry from Wishbone Brewery
  • Guided tours of our fabulous exhibitions Sonic: Adventures in Audio and Boom: Experiments in Sound

... and apparently much more!

It's on Thursday 21st of October from 18.30–21.30, for 18+ only, completely for free but with booking essential.
