We get a preview of THREE new Supro Amps - the classic tone is back   04-Feb-14

When Supro Amps announced their comeback shortly before NAMM 2014, the guitar community sat up and collectively held out hope that the new crop of amps would pay close detail to the early years of the company.

This is a big return, with new models firmly in the traditional style of Supro - in terms of visual appeal, sonic signature, and circuitry.

In short, Supro is going to be a quality amplifier company again.

Surpo is now owned by Absara Audio, the New York-based company behind Pigtronix pedals, and they have relaunched Supro to plenty of fanfare in the guitar world.

New models include the Supro S6420 Thunderbolt - 50th anniversary reissue, the S6420+ Thunderbolt(+), the 1624T DualTone, the 1690T Coronado, and the S6450R Thunderstorm.

Check out the video above to hear some of the new amplifiers in action, plus an interview with Pigtronix mastermind David Koltai - the new face of Supro Amps.
