Autographed Nuno Bettencourt Washburn N4 Being Auctioned By Cancer Patient

A cancer patient from Arkansas is selling a Washburn N4 guitar which was personally signed by Nuno Bettencourt, the guitar is currently up for sale on auction website eBay.

The Washburn N4 is a signature Nuno Bettencourt guitar, and retails for around $2500. Despite the seller wishing to keep hold of the guitar, money is needed for ongoing treatment on a brain tumor, and the seller is hoping to raise as much as possible.

Nuno promoted the auction URL on his own Facebook page.

The item description reads:

"You are bidding on a brand new Washburn N4 Nuno Bettencourt Signature Model, which has been personally autographed by Nuno. This guitar was given to me as a personal gift from Nuno, along with another acoustic guitar that he played during the National Anthem at Fenway Park before a Red Sox game this past season.

"Nuno flew me up to Boston to be apart of the festivities, because he had heard that I was sick (brain tumor) and knowing I was one of his biggest fans, he reached out to me personally. I was hoping I would be able to keep this guitar, as I had auctioned off the acoustic guitar previously to help pay medical bills. But since my medical situation is getting worse, I am forced to part with my prized possession. That's why you're here reading this...

"This Washburn N4 was Made In The U.S.A. at the Washburn facility in Chicago, IL. This is a genuine Washburn N4 signature model; it is signed by Nuno Bettencourt and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Nuno and ONE Management. Also included is the original hardshell Washburn case and a guitar strap. The guitar has never been played, just used in photos with Nuno at Fenway Park.

"All proceeds from the sale of this guitar will go towards paying my medical bills and continued treatment(s) for my brain tumor."
