Joe Satriani Announces New Studio Album Plans

Joe Satriani has announced that he will soon be heading into the studio to start work on his fourteenth album, which will be his first release since Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards in 2010.

He will also be heading out on a UK tour next summer (2013), which will see him play in cities such as London, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool.

He will be joined on tour by blues singer and guitarist Matt Schofield, tickets go on sale this Friday (November 2nd) at 9am.

The full dates for the tour are available below. No further details have been given about the plans for the album, other than that it is expected to hit stores in May 2013, and that it is a completely separate project from the retrospective career box set he is also planning to release.
