Kevin Cronin and Lars Ulrich Give Their First Musical Memories

What was your first musical memory? Dave Grohl was keen to know the musical memories of some of the world's biggest rock stars when he was shooting footage for the upcoming Sound City Movie.

In the example above you can hear what REO Speedwagon guitarist/vocalist Kevin Cronin has to say about his first experience with music.

And in the video below, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich gives his recollection of a crazy-cool sounding Deep Purple gig, in which Ritchie Blackmore played the guitar 'with his ass'.

The new Dave Grohl film is set to be about Sound City, a studio in the San Fernando Valley, used by the likes of Nirvana, Metallica, and Rage Against The Machine.

The film will feature appearances from Butch Vig, Tom Petty, Trent Reznor and Mick Fleetwood. At the time of writing, a release date has not yet been set.
