Lady Gaga In Portland, Maine, 2010 // CC // Joshiku |
Lady Gaga has put together her fictional dream supergroup, and we're pleased to say that it features some legends of rock.
Gaga would put late Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham, in the role of the drummer. She noted his booming kick drum as the irreplicable bedrock of his sound, saying that it hasn't been re-created since.
The singer would choose Brian May as guitarist in the band, which is unsurprising after she collaborated with May for the song 'You And I'.
She said of May:
"His tone and his understanding of music is just beyond comprehension. He's such a kind and wonderful person, hearing him talk about Freddie and talk about Queen is really a dream come true.
"I sort of imagine he doesn't really have a guitar, it just grows out of his arm."
Lady Gaga would complete her dream line-up with Patti Smith on vocals, Sting on bass guitar, and Elton John on piano.
We certainly can't argue with that!
Lady Gaga was asked about her dream supergroup on Sky Arts' Jo Whiley Music Show.
