Occaisional Sonic TALK podcast panelist Diego Stocco, just released a new piece. When he does, people tend to take notice. This is an atmospheric cinematic improvisation insprired by his love of the Western movie genre and composed entirley using the all metal Fence Bass,  with a single mic processed with Ableton Live which in turn is controlled by the Keith Mc Millen Softstep, an excellent MIDI controller with multiple control, including rotation and pressure. The result is a massive, bombastic, dirty soundscape.

Diego says:

Everything is created in real time, no pre-existing loops, additional tracks or post-efx involved.
I built a chain of processors in Live that I control with a pedal board, all rhythmic parts and ambiences are derived from whatever sound/noise comes from the Fence Bass. I hope you'll like it!
