Washburn announce limited edition Nuno Bettencourt N4 Exotic Wood models   24-Jan-11

WNAMM11: Nu Nunos

Washburn Guitars has expanded its line of Nuno Bettencourt signature N-Series guitars through the addition of three new Limited Edition models. Here's what they have to say about them...
While many of the features, like the patented Stephen's® Extended Cutaway and angled, reverse headstock, remain the same as in previous N4 models, these Limited Edition models open a new tonal spectrum.
Washburn collaborated with guitar legend Nuno Bettencourt to design the new N4WALNUT, N4KORINA and N4KOA. Walnut's open grains enable a brighter tone combined with a complex midrange that varies in frequencies but produces solid lows and smooth highs in the N4WALNUT. The Koa utilized in the N4KOA generates warm, bright tone with greater response at the upper end range. Lastly, the N4KORINA delivers a more responsive, sweet midrange due to the light weight and dramatic figure of the Korina used in making this model.
All three new N-Series guitars offer quality sound and versatile playability, coupled with striking looks thanks to their stunning wood grains.
Like the rest of the N4 models, these new additions are made in the U.S. and feature a Seymour Duncan® '59 bridge pickup and Bill Lawrence® L-500 bridge pick-up complemented by a Floyd Rose® bridge, ebony fretboards with dot inlays and Grover® Exclusive 18:1 tuners.
The highly variegated grains from the exotic woods used in each of these models are enhanced by oil finishes that bring out their beautiful textures, figures and colour. In the words of Nuno himself, "These super road axes are the gateway to tonal creativity."
Pricing and Availability:
Protected by their accompanying fitted hard shell cases, all three Limited Edition models will be available in Q2 2011. UK prices are expected to be £2799 RRP inc VAT for the N4 KORINA, £2999 RRP inc VAT for the N4 WALNUT and £5699 RRP inc VAT for the N4 KOA.
