Superbooth 2023: Robot Dog Music Solo Intelligent Ribbon Controller

US And Improbable Sequencer modules      15/05/23

We spoke to Jason Verkaart, founder of Robot Dog Music, at Superbooth 2023, where he showcased his new line of modules. The first product he presented was Solo, an intelligent ribbon strip controller that addresses the shortcomings of traditional ribbon strips in modular systems.

Solo integrates CV, quantize, envelope follower, and more into a 1U strip, making it super intelligent. Its legato mode and hold function give users more control over the music and enable them to create new sequences easily. Solo also comes with a future retro look, which is inspired by vintage Japanese electronic shops. Robot Dog Music also showcased its Improbable Sequence modules, which utilize the principles of loopable randomness to create new patterns and rhythms.
