Bristronica 2023: Bela - GLISS

US Multi-function touch control modules      02/10/23

At Machina Bristronica 2023, we caught up with Astrid from Bela, who introduced us to their latest offering, the GLISS module. While it may seem like a sleek touch interface with an impressive display, GLISS goes far beyond appearances. This versatile module offers four distinct performance modes: Control, Record, Signal, and Notes. In Control mode, users can manipulate parameters using touch, while the Record mode allows for gesture recording, creating intricate LFOs or envelopes. Signal mode visualizes incoming LFOs, with the ability to clip, scale, and offset signals on the fly. Lastly, Notes mode transforms GLISS into an expressive keyboard with vibrato and glissando effects. Astrid demonstrated how easily users can navigate through these modes and configure various settings, ensuring GLISS caters to both beginners and modular experts looking for a deep and interactive control surface.
