Who cares what Depeche Mode uses! Does that mean that whatever they (or other artists) is a must of you? I don't think so. CS6X is not a bad synth, but there are better synths outhere (like NordLead) which have warmer sounds and are not ROMplers.

One feature that hasn't been mentioned a lot here is the ability to edit patches/sequences on a PC. The Yamaha CS6x comes with this software for free. It also comes with a 4mb Smart Media card. (And "generic brand" smart media cards are cheap: 64mb for only 32.00.)

I bought mine used and it did not come with the software cd normally included.

Could you tell me where I could purchase one? (or... I'll pay for a burned copy...) I'd really like to do some patch editing on a big monitor.

To those of you who have the software, how do you like it?

Has anyone here installed any Plugins in their 6x's? I'm especially curious about the analog modeling one... how does it sound?
