Sounds like Chris might be talking about the CS1X or CS2X.

xdeleriumfanx I think you are acusing the wrong synth. The Yamaha Cs6x is a pretty damn good proffesional keyboard and the drums on it are perfect. The clarity of the sound is incredible, and it sounds 100X better then Korg Triton. The power cord is they way it should be. It does NOT have a power adapter, if thats what you were reffering too. And it is definetly not a begginers synthesizer. It is perfect for Trance, Rap and all kinds of other music and yes it is expandable.

i borrowed this synth from my buddy and messed with it for a month and i gotta say..I THINK ITS VERY SILLY!..i just gotta laugh when people take this thing seriously!..i think its a toy..good for beginners or a first synth(well..not even a first synth..get a juno 106 if you want to learn about real synths!)..some good points-fair drum sounds(909/808) and fair techno synth sounds, good tweekability,ok midi...bad points-too expensive($600-$700),keys play poorly, sounds like a toy at times, effects are poor, breaks easy(as i found out),no expansion, and too many goofy samples in it..for the money you waste on this thing, you could buy a better synth...ever look at the power cord for this thing, ahh now you see, it is a toy...we all want yamaha to come-out with better synths but this synth is one step down for yamaha..sorry to upset some of you,but thats what i think..

Great piece of gear! It sat very comfortably among the rest of my kit. Voice editing is easier when done with the software included, the lcd sucks! You can literally build whole tunes with just this baby. If you dont have one, go and buy it!

The only annoying feature I've discovered so far:

The notes will not sustain when you switch patches. For example, if you're sustaining strings and then switch to a piano, the strings will cut off. (Mainly an annoyance when playing live.)
