I agree with the previous reviewer... I have a cs6x, an1x, virus and a korg triton...
each of these synths are powerful in their own right. Korg as you know is the flag ship workstation sampler, pretty good; the cs6x has some great sound making capabilties but limited features compared to Korg (Yamaha always seem to limit features, and focus on sound...and we can see the result...yamaha sounds are always cutting edge).
an1x is a powerful analog modelling very different from cs6x (the plg 150 an plug in board in the cs6x creates something similar to an1x, though not as powerful of analog modelling).
Virus has wide range of sounds, and some of it sounds very digital! For thick analog-like sounds, i still prefer an1x. an1x can create absolutely creamy pads that warm you as much as a fireplace in antartica when you listen to it :)
stupid yamaha always discontiues groovy products like an1x, etc for some strange reason.
so I would recommed those who have an an1x, don't buy another cs6x, rather buy a cs6r (rack version) and hook it up to an1x and you could get a dual-sonic powerhouse!
