The Six TraK is a superb analogue synth that is capable of some truely gut wrenching bass sounds, beautiful pads/strings and weird blips and sfx. Why of why are these as cheap as chips? It is well worth every penny and more if this had a dial for every function it would be worth thousands. The interface is a blast anyway so easy to use-great sounds no new synth can touch this for bass etc.

The six trak is an overlooked work of genius-Within about 1 hour of getting this synth I had some really great analogue basses, chilling spacy pads and all manner of weird effects and drones. I must say that straight out of the box this sounds great,it is very hard to make this sound bad,in fact,I don't think you can make it sound bad. I really cannot see how these synths go for peanuts buy two of them for the cost of a weekend away and have a setup that is everybit as good sounding as a prophet 5. very very pro 5 sounding at times but then sometimes it sounds like a sid chip on acid then smooth and silky then eat you alive aggression. Superb basses, dramy pads. An absolute must if you are into anlogue synths.I don't know why everyone is banging on about VA's when these can be had for peanuts. A beautiful creation with inbuilt sequencer and Arpegiators to die for. Get one, take it from someone who has loads of high end machines such as jupiters, andromedas. Just get one because they have a great sound.

blablabla .. everybody who tells you it sucks .. doesn't know shit about synths .. Even David Smith can't make synths sounding like this anymore .. listen to it next to an Evolver or his new Prophet and watch it being crushed by the nostalic sound of the 6 trak ! and compare it to a sh 101 ? get real ... I don't want superb 'soundquality' .. i want different sounds and this machine does them all ! most of you mini and p5 lovers are just collecting snobs with no love for sound ..

This synth is pure fun. It is a programmer synth, you can't tweak the sound while playing, but you have a 6 track sequencer, an arpergiator and good sound. So, i recomend it for someone that is not to be he's only synth.

Of course it is not a moog. A memorymoog costs like 3900 euro and is it that great? I love my sixtrak, and after having it for many years it still suprises me in sonic possibilities. For drums it is phenomenal, better than most analouge preset drummachines. And it has the unique feature of an extra oscillator that resonates directly off the filter wich allows you to create dangerously ringing sounds from hell. The only down thing about it is the single-knob programming, but since it is a great synthesizer I don´t hold it against it.
