Peavey SPx/II really is a bargain. I picked my pair up with 8 MEG for £400 about a year ago. Since then, it has taken up far too much of my time, and I couldn't live without it (not without having to resort to watching soaps to pass the time). So there you go. Dont bother pandering to Akai (even at £800) with their s2000 thing. You really dont need it. If you're creative and dedicated, results will flow whatever the unit, and the Peavey is top notch for the price.
