those 75% on the rating of the dmx should not be there. this machine is 100% badass.the only other drum machine that is right up there with the dmx is the tr-808, and that being said the dmx still has an edge, not only are the sounds to die for but it has interchangable eproms, you can just buy a set of 808 eproms and get those same great 808 sounds right out from the dmx. and dont worry about midi.. there are plenty of midi modifications out there for it, as well as other eproms with a huge array of sounds from other classic beat machines. its so easy to use. perfect interface that lets your imagination go. classic 80's sound, its a timeless machine imo. it just produces such a full thick sound. you can really get it to pound. if you have a chance to get your hands on one,DO IT!!

killer, KILLER machine. Like forget about it. Only the legendry 808 is on par with this baby. The DMX has power, charactor and true classic status. The best beatbox snare in history and wickid toms & clap. There is no replacement or substitute for classics like the DMX or 808. You simply have to own them. If you like myself have the 808 and DMX in your arsenal. You have the best beat boxes that have ever been or everwill be. 10 OUTTA 10!

The DMX is the ultimate drum machine. Even more classic than an 808. This beast is pretty simple. But it has sounds that not only have charactor, but punch and crispness that cannot be surpassed by ANYTHING. That ***SNARE-DRUM*** is worth the price alone. This machine can handle any style of music from rock TO rap to electro. A must have for anyone who wants the greatest vintage drum machine ever made.

Not too flexible in the sounds department, but then you don't need to change them - they're great! Simple interface, good start for sounds, THE handclap, bass, and snare of the 80's.
