This unit was easy to create with... From set patterns to recording real-time over patterns for different fills and making it easy to record on four track with the SMPTE.

Literally, I would put a high-hat/bell metronome in the early stage of the song and then go back and put patterns, fills, etc. after the fact. Plus, I'd get stereo drums using the one SMPTE sync track on my four track.

I miss it now as I absolutely hate all the "loop-minded" programs out there right now.

if you like simpel programming stay away from this, if you like reading manuals buy one, it has some cool sounds but i didnt like the plastic pads and also have an yamaha ry30 i like a lot more and who is very userfriendly too. i sold mine, never missing it and sure never buy it is not worth the time you have to spend in this unit(years) and then someone like aphex twin kicks you out in five minutes.good luck .it is a bad 3

In the beginning a pain in the ass! It was my first "drumcomputer" (or what i thought it was) and for 2 months i was reading the manual with my eyebrows going lower and lower down. That was 10 years ago, now i bought a 2nd one, that says enough i think!

I love my s3 its too bad its such a pain to program and some of the functions are so hidden you have to press the (now hardly functional) buttons so much to get to them.. but its control over the sound is far better than any other drum sequencer/module combo ive ever seen.. too bad mine is getting old and the keys are so sticky :(

Hi I purchased a KORG S3 for a steal $66.00 and was wondering if anybody knows where I might find the scarce Sound Cards or Ram Card? Also Does the KORG M1 Ram Card Really Work With the S3????

The Sounds on this thing are incredible and I've been able to produce a KILLER unique 808 sound!!!!!!

If you can find one get with or without the sound cards.........
