It's a DX7 minus the keyboard, complete with the 6 operators and the 32 algorithms. If you don't want to rely on the onboard - and rather crappy - preset sounds, you either have to have a DX7 or a computer with the appropriate software. (But honestly folks, who's willing to mess with those algorithms without some help from a friendly computer anyway?) The TX7 sounds just like a DX7, as you would expect - but its design is one of the ugliest I've ever seen. And don't you just hate that silly desktop size? Nick@sonic I had one for a while, I think I sold it to get something else. Big mistake! If you want to access the humungous library of sounds available for the DX synths then this would be a good place to start. Funnily enough you don't see them very often. They were quite noisy, at least mine was - more so than the DX7. Thomas is right - don't even think about trying to program it without an editor though -it's a nightmare! Comments About the Sounds: Classic DX7 voices - you can't mistake them for anything else |
