Thomas R Kolb writes:
Once the world's most sophisticated sequencer, with its eight separate MIDI outputs, huge memory capacity, floppy disk drive and possibility to record, view and edit all incoming MIDI data, the QX1 was any MIDI composers wet dream. But like any other dedicated hardware sequencer, time and computer evolution hasn't been kind to it - any modern Macintosh running a decent MIDI sequencing software beats the pants off the Yamaha QX1 anytime.
