Weighing in at a hefty 50lbs or so, the CS40M is a blast. It's got 2 VCOs, an LFO, a VCF, and a VCA. Duophonic, but can be put in Unison mode to allow all 4 voices to be stacked for a monophonic synth. Pretty much typical Minimoog design, from what I hear, although i must admit - i like the layout much better than any moog i've used (no flames, please - i said the LAYOUT...) I think the icing on the cake is the Ring modulator. it kicks some serious buttocks. Oh, and it has 20 patch locations as well, but once you save a patch, you can't bring it back into panel mode for editing, although you do still have access to porto, mod wheel, and maybe brilliance. After a month or so with this one, i must say - I wish to be buried with this one, please.

Comments About the Sounds:
Yum Yum. Think of a CS80's little bro.

(Thanks to Steve Pescatore for this info.)
and Mert Topel for the pic
