Although it doesn't have the beef of an American synth (e.g. the Minimoog) it has great programmability, and the mixer section allows mixing noise, VCO1, VCO2, RingMod, and external input. Portamento functions are somewhat limited; pitch wheel doubles as filter wheel. S/H works real nice. Panning knob makes stereo motion possible. I can't live without it! Comments About the Sounds: Typically thin (it's a Roland!), but very flexible synth. Switches allow modulation routings, and not 2 but 3 envelopes, ADSR, AR, and fixed AR. Also features KV and KTrig in and out. |
