In order to get the most out of this unit, you have to approach it with a guitarist's mindset. If you try to play keyboard comping chords into it, it will sound pretty much like a cheesy synth playing chords. However, if you structure your chords like a guitarist would (using an Oberheim Strummer) and then run the sounds thru the same effects boxes that a guitarist would, you can put together a very convincing distorted electric Strat sound. The acoustic guitars and basses are fairly decent too. I've seen this unit go for $250 to $300 in the US. I think it is a steal at that price. I've got one, and I'm quite happy with it.

Comments About the Sounds:
There is no module out on the market that provides a better built-in selection of guitar sounds. 6 and 12 string acoustic, electric and bass guitars.

(Thanks to John Volanski for this info.)
