As of July 29th Windows 10 is now rolling out  - there are some massive changes going on here, driven in part by the setting up of a dedicated Audio Creation/Editing team. Microsoft have traditionally not focussed on their creative users. That has changed.

The introduction of several new features - new MIDI API, New Audio API, parity across desktops, tablets and mobile devices means as a platform, its been made a lot more attractive to potential developers.

As users, we of course want to know what these changes mean. In this special editiion, we talk to Microsoft Principal Program Manager - Pete Brown.

His role has been to bring many of these aspects together and talk to software developers to encourage them to look to Windows as a viable platform.

Pete gives us the facts on a number of issues - MIDI, Audio, whats with Thunderbolt on Windows? And the new auto update feature.
