It's one of the most frequently heard questions at any trade show...'seen anything good?'

And the answer from the guys on the SPL booth was rather surprisingly, some speakers from a company I'd not come across previously - Manger.

I sat down for a isten with BJ from SPL, and despite the noisy show floor environment, we were both a bit blown away with the dynamics and transient response of the system. I used to be a bit of a hifi nut, and I've heard a good few high-end speakers... but these are a bit special.

I'd love to listen to them in a better environment, but gotta say, I was impressed with what I did hear.

They use a standard piston driver for the low end, and a proprietary wide-range driver, running from 330Hz upwards to 45kHz - the Manger driver is a flush mounting flat diaphragm type transducer, using a 'bending wave' design. Apparently.

So, I asked the lovely Daniela Manger for a bit more info...
