Winter NAMM 2013:

We stopped by at the Presonus booth to check out some of their 10 new products announced at the show. Whats really new for this one is loudspeakers. First up the studio monitors, there are two forms, the Eris range with bi-amped active design and also the Sceptre CoActual co-axial models. These have dual concentric speakers - with the bass driver and tweeter combined into a single unit and 32 bit DSP processing for excellent stereo imaging.

On the PA side, the new AI Active Integration series bring studio quality output on stage with wireless and USB connection for remote control of the DSP functions for ultimate control.

The StudioLive digital mixing console range also gets a major addition with the StudioLive 32.4.2AI Digital Mixing System with a a dual-core computing engine that packs over 64 times the processing power and an incredible 10,000 times more RAM than the previous top-of-the-line StudioLive 24.4.2. Its sophisticated, integral communications also makes possible wireless control of the mixer without requiring an external computer.
