As we recently heard, Behringer's plan to bring more synths to the masses was given some more momentum by Uli Behringers post last week on the Gearslutz Forum - specifically talking about the possibility of a Mini Moog Clone - we now have some details of what is currently called the Behringer D.
The price has been trailed to be around the $400 which is certainly ambitious. But given the scale of manufacture that they have in their own factories, its something that could well be achievable. What is not clear is how far along the process they are, we have specifications, mocked images and intent, but as yet no hardware and therefore no sound or indication as to how close it is in sonic character.
I guess this might all be part of a plan to gauge just how much interest there is in it becoming a reality.
We know that there's a new phase of the way Behringer interacts with the buying public, they now prefer to consult directly via forums and comments sections rather than use traditional press routes. So say what you think here, you never know who might be reading.
